Privacy Policy
Kinfable ("we") turns your family into the heroes of illustrated, personalized children's stories. We take your privacy — and children's privacy — very seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how you can exercise your rights.
1. Data we collect
- Google account: name, email and profile picture, received when you sign in with Google (our only login method).
- Families and characters: attributes you choose (name, relation, personality traits and visual features). We never use photos of children or biometric data — characters are fictional creations.
- Stories: the themes and text you provide and the stories we generate.
- Payments: processed by Stripe. We do not store card numbers; we keep only credit records and the transaction identifier.
- Technical data: IP address (used to suggest your language via geolocation) and essential cookies (session and language preference).
2. How we use your data
To create your account, generate and display stories, process credits and payments, provide support, keep the service secure and comply with legal obligations.
3. Artificial intelligence and third parties
To generate stories, we send the necessary data (character descriptions and the theme) to AI providers: Anthropic (text) and OpenAI (images). We also use Google (login) and Stripe (payments). These providers may process data outside your country (e.g., in the US) under appropriate safeguards.
4. Children
Kinfable is intended for adults creating stories for their families. By design, we do not collect children's photos, voice or biometric data — only fictional attributes you choose.
5. Cookies
We use only essential cookies: a session cookie (to keep you signed in) and a language cookie. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
6. Your rights (GDPR / LGPD)
You can request access, correction, deletion and portability of your data, and withdraw consent. To do so, email privacy@kinfable.com.
7. Retention
We keep your data while your account exists. You can request deletion at any time; financial records may be retained for the period required by law.
8. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures (encrypted connections, access control) to protect your data. No system is 100% foolproof, but we work to minimize risks.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. Significant changes will be announced on the site.
